Lagniappe

According to Wiki, a lagniappe is “something given or obtained gratuitously or by way of good measure”.

In order to structure, and spur myself on, blog posts here will be lagniappes to myself when something “gets done.”

Ah, yes, “done” is the operative word here.  I have varied textile interests, and they are always competing for my attention.  That means piles in my sewing room of magazines, books, tubs of yarn, knitting needles, quilting  fabrics and supplies, not to mention a computer full of  bookmarked web pages and Pinterest pins.

For a long time now, I’ve been knitting.  Quilting and patchwork has been in the background.  This spring/summer I’ll be doing both, so there will be posts and photos of things in progress.

“Making Is the Journey” generously comes from Tom of Holland and his insightful post  “Why Must We Lead This Creative Life“.
